CJ
I have a PAYG "Q" sim card with a supplier called Wind which is the cheapest I have found out here for texts to the UK at about 6.4 cents. The problem is, I do use that service a lot and if I also use it for anything else (as in calls out here) it is bloody expensive. So much so that I regularly end up spending 9 Euro per week on a top up. I have looked into a contract out here but whilst they give you loads of free texts and minutes, these are not included when you text / call the UK. When I do this texting I am usually at home and so I was wondering if there was a cheaper online method of doing this? I have just looked at a service called Freebiesms but whilst it is free to send, (and I am not even sure it would work out here in Greece) it tells you in the incredibly small print that it will cost the recipient 5.00 pounds to open it!!! Anyone know of anything that might be of use to me?
Lbm
I wonder if Skype offer additional services?
Abz
As above not sure if Skype offer a text service, not sure if you actually use Skype CJ? Also if you have a Blackberry, and the person you are messaging has a Blackberry you can use a free messaging service between the countries called Blackberry Messenger, which allows you to ping messages much like texts or more msn like, might work out cheaper that way? CJ
I wonder if Skype offer additional services? They do indeed but at 0.09 cents, they are more expensive than my Q card.

As it happens, I have just acquired a Blackberry off another member but as my sons (who are the main recipients of my text messages) don't have a Blackberry then that doesn't really help. When is their birthday? Think I know what you should get them!
