jmcc42uk
Hi, I've got an issue with my old 106. I'm getting a severe knocking noise from the front when I'm turning right whilst under power. If I let the power off whilst still in the turn, the noise disappears. I'm guessing NS CV joint Does this sound right Thanks Jon
Ian W
I had to do a double take before realising you're also on itr-dc2.com Good luck with the problem mate, I hate things like this!
jmcc42uk
Yes mate, Teg has gone and Supra will be here end of April! Can't wait !!!! Was just looking for someone to confirm my suspicions about the driveshaft
straightsix
Yes - repaired a 106 with the same issues. There didn't seem to be much play in the joint until it was off. Easy job to do too. If you want to double check just get under the car and shake the driveshaft close to the outer cv joint. There should be NO play at all. straightsix
Oh - it's probably worth doing both. I replaced one side and then ended up having to do the other side the following week!
