Good bodyshop/Porsche specialist in Solihull area

Very long story but I wont go into great detail........

MY MOTHER IN-LAW REVERSED INTO MY PORSCHE 928 !

As this happened on there drive in Solihull I would like to get it repaired in the area, I dont want to drive it home just on the off chance the damage is dangerous

It will need a new front wing or a very skilled individual to pull it out

Any bodyshop recommendations in or around Solihull and a bonus if there is a Porsche specialist??

There's a Porsche dealership just off Gate Lane, just before Box Trees garage heading towards Monkspath, I know the owners daughter through a friend of mine - they seem like good people.

Never used them myself (as never been a Porsche owner!), so cannot comment on workmanship etc.

I know the place, I dont want a Porsche Dealer though, My mother in law is paying for the repair so a good bodyshop would be fine, if there is a Porsche specialist even better

Thanks though

As far as i know they just sub out their work and dont have a bodyshop on site.

Whats the damage to your car ?

Not in the Solihull area but the guy next to Ibrar (speedwells) in Tyesley does a good job and is one of Ibrars mates.

Interesting. Didn't know that.

I can have a word for you if you like? See if I can find out where he sends his cars for body work?

We used to do the odd job for them and when it was a Toyota Dealer before that, i bought my 1st uk mkiv off them. A mate of mine is or used to be the sales manager there, not sure if he still is.

Reversed into the drivers side wing : (

Does it really need a Porsche specialist ? that just usually ups the price unless its an insurance claim or the damage really needs the specialist i'd find a good non franchised bodyshop

This isn't sarcastic at all, but have you Googled "Porsche Specialist Solihull" as a few have come up with a search. May be worth checking their websites for pictures of work they've done.

Agreed, but it is all about work of mouth and quality by experience I am looking for, Dave would be doing this for me 100% if he was not so busy at the moment

At the least its a new wing as i doubt anyone would fix that.

I'd give Ibrar a call and send him the pic, he could then show Taj his bodywork mate and take it from there.

Their under 10 miles from Solihull so not far to go.

Thats the very information I need, my sister lives 30seconds from him and he could do my Supra wheels at the same time

I'd be very supprised if theres any suspension damage, does the car still drive as it did before the accident ? I'd get it tracked up and when the wings off do a visual inspection.

I've blown the pic right up and can't see any obvious damage to the tyre but i'd have a closer inspection done just to make sure.

It could possibly have knocked the track out but im guessing there was little impact due to it being done on the drive, it doesnt take much to fold up a wing like that.

Theres one on ebay for an S4 for £180 buy it now price (afraid its silver and in yorkshire)
