barneybrendan
to be honest i dont think i would feel safe under there .would have to put axle stands there aswell.Theres a lot of bits that could fail there .
Jurgen-Jm-Imports
nice find mate..
Scott
Yup great way of getting the car off the deck. Think I'll need to be ordering a set of those. I'm with Brendan though, definitely would be going with a set of axle stands at the same time, just to be on the safe side
ripped_fear
great find that! looks like a handy piece of kit as long as they are safe.
Ricky49
Seen something similar on eBay a while ago cheaper than £199, but you get what you pay for
SupraHuman
Looks cool, I looked at those a while back, also found this rather excellent little car lift that folds away and can be stored standing up against the wall when not used. http://finkbeiner-lifts.com/product/14652
JamieP
Monaro is no lightweight, but as said using axle stands an all would be a safe bet if working under there.

Jonny5
I much prefer these: http://www.restorationramps.co.uk/phdi/p1.nsf/supppages/ramps?opendocument&part=3 I got the lads at work to make a similar set for me, just drive up onto the tables, then if you wish remove the ramps for more room. Wez
I saw these on ebay a while back. In some pics they show how using four together gets the whole car up.
Scott
I saw these on ebay a while back. In some pics they show how using four together gets the whole car up. Would need to be a fairly high car to manage that one though. 180mm is it at the lowest setting?

merckx
A 2 post lift would give you more access to the underside of the car and would be cheaper.
Chris Wilson
A 2 post lift would give you more access to the underside of the car and would be cheaper. Yep, you can get a decent used 2 post lift for around £500 and either convert to single phase or use a big rotary phase converter. Unless you find a single phase one, or have 3 phase into the house. So long as the ceiling height is adequate to get the posts in you just set the safety stop to come in before the roof of the car hits the ceiling. JamieP is a builder, how about finding one of the old single centre post hydraulic lifts (a bit illegal, but probably OK for private use), dig a big hole in the drive for the centre hydraulics, pave the sunken wheel ramps flush with the path, and no one would know it was even there until you sent the car up They'll even rotate to turn the car around to face out of the drive again... JamieP
I dont have much room in the garage, two post would be in the way, something that sat flush in the floor and got the wheels off the ground by a foot or so would be perfect for me.
