Interior loom plug - help identify this

This is on the dash loom (auto), but is not connected to anything. Before I replaced this loom I recall it wasn't plugged into anything originally either... I have no idea what it's for - any ideas?

It's a single wire plug & located under and to the right of the stereo cage. Everything apart from the cabin temp adjust seems to be working. Could it be part of the auto gear level electrics? (long since removed)

Cheers guys, seems your onto something with the footwell light. This plug is not listed in the service manual wiring diagrams so split apart the old loom to trace the wire..

It's a Black-Red wire that T's into the "Antenna" on the main stereo plug (No 8 here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?240044) and to another plug, which was choppd off the old loom (I'm pretty certain it's the traction control button), but then gets T'd off again to the various dash plugs, all of which are illuminated.

It seems to be a direct +12v feed powered on when the ignition goes onto II, so in conclusion it's most likely an interior light plug :)

Edit: Straightsix, strange that you see that, I'm going to try it on mine and see what happens. This wire goes all over the dash loom without any fuse or relay.

I'm going to have a better investigation tomorrow. I just popped out with a meter to check as I've got the dash panels off anyway at the moment.

That might explain it, the feed on my loom is looped through the traction control button, so if that is not plugged in might explain why there is no power. If you don't have trac control on your car the route will be different though.

Thanks for checking. I'm just curious what this plug is for, it doesn't seem to effect anything so it's only an academic question :)
