Personally with this incidence (not that I've had this problem living in the niceness that is the North East - really I haven't!) I would be ramming the said affected door into the offending persons car in multiple places before calmly parking in a far away space claiming innocence and paying for my own door knowing the offending person has more to pay in their own costs (and ignorance) and being happy in exacting revenge for all of those other people that person has done the same thing to!

Sorry if this makes no sense, I am a few too many snakebites past what I should have had but hey... thats life too!

I did this to a bloke in a X5 at B&Q, he was reaching into his drivers door to pick up his briefcase in the passenger footwell, then his laptop, each time doing the "snooker stance" with his leg cocked tapping his door into my car. I politely asked him to stop, and he looked at my car like a pile of shit (bmw e46) and just "hummph" came out. After he left I rammed my door into his car numerous times, drove home and realised id bent the edge of my door. Bad times.

That was a couple of years ago, and ive found the Lord since. My patence has now grown, like the seed of eternal life.

But I did the world justice, he wont be doing it to anyone else.

Yup, I damaged the door on my car aswell(just some chipped paint though), but was more than worth it.

I am sorry to hear that Steve :(

Tell you about my experience, quite a few years back I was in my FTO at a shopping centre waiting for the missus to change something she brought a couple of days ago. As she was just changing it, I thought I'd chill in the car. As I was a bit knackered I leaned the seat back and was having a nap when all of a sudden I was awaken by a loud BANG! Bit confused at first I could hear a lady (though she had a hairy chin), saying "oh, shit I put a big dent in his door" (to her girlie) at which point I jumped up! She freaked out a little, I got out, and inspected the damage. Asked her do you want to do this through insurance or private, she laughed and said "you going to call the insurance company for that?!?" I replied "No, I'll be phoning the blind society to register you as a member! Of course I will, you damaged my car" Her friend got lary (though the driver was hairy).

After a few minutes the driver got in the car, when I asked her what is she doing, she said I am not letting you claim off my insurance & proceeded to reverse out, I said, "I got your number plate you muppet" to which she replied "Well, I'll just deny it" and before I could reply back (tell her CCTV's has been invented) she scrapped the front of her new VW Beetle against the back of a Mondeo when reversing out!

I burst out laughing & she poo'd herself (looked like she was going to cry) and the cheeky cow drove off, I left a note for the Mondeo owner with reg details but never heard from him\her. I didn't claim in the end as I found it too much hassle and thought the justice had been done!

:D

just had an update on this , the car that hit me is a hire car and the driver has been contacted , she said she is aware of the incident but there was no damage .................... cheeky cow she didnt even look, all she was worried about was getting to where she was going :( not to chuffed over this but should be getting an engineer out soon to look at the car

At least that explains why she didn't care.

Forget the engineer and go for street justice :eyebrows:

shame about your car steve, loving some of these stories though :)

my brother carries a rather large cordless drill around with him for his job as an electrician, he told me once a group of dudes in an X5 smacked his car old shonkey escort with his door - much like you guys the offender just said "sh!t happens, your cars a piece of sh!t anyway"... well, a cordless drill and numerous holes in someones 4 tyres does wonders for payback.

hope yours gets sorted :)

well i dont really know how to start this update, but here we go

right then where do i start ,......... i took the car to sharpe concepts in colchester to get an estimate of the work to be done to my car , all good ,.......... now this is where the twist is , on the A14 on my home my phone went off , it was my son , and chance would have it there is a parking lay-by 20 meters infront of me so i pulled over and answered the phone, 2 minutes into the phone call i see some real bright lights in my wing mirror , brighter than the rest , infact they are getting close , yeah right they are thats because he was coming straight at me  anyway he skimmed the side of the car and took my wing mirror with him, a friggin electric one :complain:, he wasnt going to stop either he just got back into the 1st lane and carried on , dont think so buddy, straight into drive and gunned it after him , tried to pull him over and he didnt want to stop so i phoned 999 and made them aware of the situation, after getting the west bound traffic doing 20 mph for about a mile he got the idea he wasnt getting away and stopped in the middle of the road, i debussed the car and told him he had hit me and to pull over, we then found another parking place about 200 meters up the road and he followed me and parked up, we then waited for the police after i phoned them again and gave them our exact location, they were on site very quickly too (good job), the copper got out her car and said hello again then turned to me and said "ive already pulled him once today for being on his phone", so then the abuse from me started telling him he could of killed me , i calmed down and the copper took all the details and breathalysed us both, after that he piped up saying "i am a good driver , ive been driving for 15 yrs" , at this point i could feel the red mist setting in " do i look like ive just passed my test you prick ? " he come back with "iam 37" in his broken english, i then came back with "ahh good....... hard paper round was it you fat cu!%, because you are only 6 yrs older than me , and i am a driving instructor for the british army " should of seen his face change it was canny good, the copper just started laughing at him, so after the little debriefing i gave him about how he MUST stop after hitting someone (and his excuse was the road was to narrow  ) i was about to get back in the car to drive away and then he then said i want to take pictures, yeah ok then crack on fella, he then asked me to work his phone for him ,,,.............. " dude you hand me that phone its going in the field, i promise you " he stood there looking me going " but, but " , i never showed him how to use the phone just stood there taking the p!s$ asking if he wanted me to phone his mum for him too, before i left the copper told me he was going to be ripped through the system now and took to court and charged for either dangerous driving or driving without due care and attention and maybe have to attend a drivers improvement course, and pay he will have for it out of his own pocket , after calling him a few more names and commenting on his size and weight i left the scene very angry

i am starting to loose the faith here, and feel really down if this is Karma i must of p!$$ed in the man upstairs's slippers or something, can anything else go wrong ? cant wait to see my insurance next renewal :( this could very well be my last year of ownership :(

Typical women in a car park. If they're not rolling backwards down "up" ramps, they're bashing doors.

I'd have taken her wing mirrors with me though as "evidence" :eyebrows:

eh not all of us! :)

id have done the same as alot of you, definately got my own justice,

what i hate is when you park in an almost empty carpark and someone parks next to you, i mean why do people feel the need to park next to someone else when theres billions of empty spaces around?!

sorry to hear what happened here tho, i hate people who dont show any consideration for other peoples things

Just thought of a possible reason. They want the space but are useless at parking so use another car to line up (prob too blind to see the line)?

this is so strange! i entered morrisons car park at about 18:00 (excuse the factual thing going on) i then found the best parking spot just me in a whole bay! up tight to a kerb, what a result. did the shopping came out & im the only car present, popped the boot put the bags in the back, got in the drivers seat, got comfortable, just choosing a CD, then an almighty beep from behind! excuse me here im surrounded by empty white boxes. however this car has waited for me to put the shopping in the back, get in the car & drive away, then got impatient at my lack of speed
