He'll keep and FULL years of NCB that he's already earned.

However, how far through his current insurance year is he? He'll lose any of the current year and have to start that year again when he starts another policy.

Also, if he's more than a couple of months through his current year, he may find that he'll get less than about 20% of his unused annual premium returned to him - if he's lucky! If he's unlicky, he'll get almost no refund at all.

his policy runs untill august, when he should have 2 years ncb.however, he started the insurance about 4 months before he passed his test and other companies say he cant have a years ncb if he hasnt had his license for a year. so although in theory its 2 years in august no one will accept it untill next june, so he is as well getting a new policy. i thought he would get screwed on the refund but they seem to be taking very little. sounds too good to be true
