Guest atkay
Saw this on the top gear website: Linky Previous claims say it may be in the £20k price range with around 220 bhp NA.. But I'd imagine that may change closer to any releases.. Looks good, what do you all think? Alex

ozz
I'd be amazed if they put that on the road for anywhere near £20k, prob early 30's to take on the 370z.
Attero
If anything, the FT-HS comes closer to a Supra. The FT-86 is a "lightweight" sports car. This is repost x 1,000,000.
Bobbeh
Wonder if the FT-HS stands for Future Toyota Hybrid Supra, I love the look of it but it needs more balls engine wise

Gaz6002
buy one drop a 2jz engine in job done....i cant see them been priced at 20k tho will sure be into the early 30k mark There won't be any room. The reason they're using the Scooby engine is so it can be mounted low down between the front wheels to lower the weight distribution. And no, this isn't the next Supra. It's based on the AE-86. ellis
Its a Scooby in a Ra-Ra skirt - which means thirsty, rattly and uninspiring!! (Pulls pin, lobs in grenade, covers ears!)
KamaSupra
If anything it's the new MR2 or Celica, like what's been said- it's too slow for a Supra anyway

Seriously, I think the number of people who actually read threads before posting is dwindling fast. What did the op search for? Certainly wasn't FT86 anyway

Supra-Woman
I do love the look of the car, but as preiously said, it needs more balls, lol
Scott
Yeah I saw that it's based on the AE-86, but it's still more of the new Celica looks wise Yeah but I think that's more to do with the direction the design team at Toyota are going. I don't like it, but it's the way car manufacturers are. They see an idea and they copy it/stick with it until they find the next "idea". FT86, LFA, Celica... all similar designs. If a new Supra were to come out (I think it was actually designed) then it would look the same.
Gaz6002
I do love the look of the car, but as preiously said, it needs more balls, lol 265bhp turbocharged four cylinder, light weight and rear-wheel drive. I'd have one.

The Mondeo, Focus and Fiesta all have the same kind of design internally and externally as each other. And your right, the new Supra would end up the same as the other Toyotas. Thorin
It was on the prelude, wasn't it? Prologue? No. The FT-86 and G-Sports version are in GT5, but not this new model (FT-86 II).
Gaz6002
Prologue? No. The FT-86 and G-Sports version are in GT5, but not this new model (FT-86 II). Oh I see what you did there. Of course, it is pretty much the same car. I don't think many people have driven the second-gen version yet.
tbourner
Top Gear will have to take one to Japan and do some mountain road drifting vs a tuned AE-86.
Guest «Supra»
Looks way better than the original concept to be honest. http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/geneva-show-toyota-subaru-ft-86-11-2011-03-01 Can this be the Supra MKV?
