Hub rings -- what are they for

ah ok got you

Follow on Q -- I run the Project kics spacers wide thread spacers; I am getting Hub rings to illeviate the shear load on the studs. I presume this is the reason, so if I get the 60mm hub ring and use these inside the volk wheel, this is correct?

I have 18" Volkswagen Volks (damn iPhone autocorrect!) TE37 wheels on mine and these rings are missing. Where can I get them from?

How do I work out what size I need? Will it be written somewhere or is it simpler to just measure it?

What are the problems of not using them? My car has been without them since I've had it.

60.1 is the Stock Supra Hub ring size not too sure what a TE37 is ; but say for exampe it was 73.1; you would need

- 73.1mm / 60.1mm

I'd forgotten I posted on this thread and was just about to start a new thread... I might as well carry on here.

Am I right in thinking the following?:

- Internal diameter of hub ring = external diameter of hub 'lip' (green line in pic.2) (looks like it'll be 60.1mm from what I've read here).

- External diameter of hub ring = internal diameter of the face of the wheel that contacts the hub (red line in pic.2)

- The hub ring goes in the gap that the yellow arrow points to.

- The diameter of the pink line (pic.3) is irrelevant for hub rings.

Once I've worked this out, I just need to pick the right size from here (Rays official UK distributor) and buy four of them... simple as that!
