kubus1
Hi, I had my car up on the ramp yesterday when I was having a quote for a new exhaust and .... I noticed the centre part of the diff covered in oil. It wasnt dripping or anything, it was just there. What could be the cause? What damage can it do to the car, and how to fix it? All inputs will be greatly appreciated, Please help!! Thanks, Cuba
GavinL
I have the same problem with my car at the moment. Leon is looking at it and there is probably a leak in the Diff oil cooler which is causing traces of oil in the rear offside wheel arch and possibly a leak in the hoses near the diff as well I guess that your car being a Euro spec has the oil cooler and assorted gubbins
kubus1
Yeah, I think Euro and UK specs are pretty much the same. Please share any info when you get it. cheers, Cuba

Keith C
Cuba Check out the diff oil cooler in the (for you) passenger side rear wheel intake. Mine had corroded where the metal cooler pipes met rubber, and was dropping fluid. A replacement was about £120 from Toyota, so not too bad.
