mplavery
Hi As i was putting my engine back together, i came across this on the manifold and i cant remember which way round the rubber and metal disc goes on. Im sure the rubber insert goes into the manifold with the flat part of the metal disc facing outwards. Though it still seems to stick out about 5mm, is that right ??? Also can someone tell me what it is called and what it does please Thank guys

Andy Blyth
The metal bit goes in the manifold first, with the concave side facing the manifold; the flat side with the holes in faces the idle control valve. The rubber bit goes in next. There's a thin side and a thick side; the thin side faces the valve.
