Vaughany
Hi everyone, I collected my Supra from JPS yesterday after having a PHR Stage 1 fitted. The work I had completed was as follows PHR Stage 1 Turbo Kit P.E 650CC Injectors HKS Super Sequential BOV HKS Type R Intercooler Mocal Oil Cooler Mocal Transmission Cooler Oil Temp Guage and AEM AFR Guage and sensor Hose Techniques Kit Mapping of Emanage Full service, all the fluids etc The car has been mapped at 1.4 bar by Leon and made 470bhp and 435lb torque at the hubs. I have really had a chance to road test the car fully but at 1.1 bar it is alot faster than when I was BPU. Here are the pictures [img]http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y158/benandjoe/DSC00143.jpg[/iM

[img]

adi2009
Looks good, very clean engine bay too!!! But i thought at 1.4 bar it should be well in the 500's???

Kopite
looks nice mate! did leon do the mappin? or did he take it to Thor? looks very very nice
SupraStar 3000
Looks great. Nice work mate is the yellow car parked by the door the going to the shops run around?? LMAO!!
Vaughany
Leon mapped the car, it was 470 at the hubs which is about 566 at the flywheel (17% transmission loss) so I am pretty sure I have a genuine 500bhp - The turbo is a PHR GT60
Steve
Might have to get you to take me for a ride sometime. I am only in Wellingborough.
Homer
Very tidy install, looks great! How does it compare to BPU (stuff like power delivery, lag, etc)?
Vaughany
Not much happens below 3000 revs but from then on, it really picks up going from 200lb of torque at 3000 revs to 436lb of torque by 4200revs. It is alot quicker than BPU and I have only been at 1.1bar so far, more road testing to come. JustGav
I like it... Looks good... you throwing a tubbie blanket on it? Gav
Vaughany
Not sure mate, have you got one on your kit and are they worth it. I have a heat shield protecting teh brake fluid and am looking to get something fabricated for the air filter.
JustGav
Speak to JohnK, he supplied me with mine, and it is great for just keeping the heat out the engine bay... forces it to stay inside the turbo and as such pushed out the exhaust... I found my single used to heat the engine bay up something silly... Can't really go wrong with a big tea cosy... CJ and I both have a JohnK creation.. Alex
Looks great, can I ask what the heat shield is made of and can you make any copies?? Oh and can we see the dyno sheet please ?? And was it Leon or Thor that did the mapping?
Toms Supra
I know I ask everone this but how much did it cost you to do the lot mate plus labour.

Vaughany
Hi Alex Leon supplied the heat shield so I have no idea what it is made of but he can and does supply more. Leon mapped the car at thor's so I am sure they worked on it together but I am not sure. Also I will post up the Dyno sheet tomorrow. cheers
Vaughany
Sorry they are abit late but here are the dyno sheets of my recent conversion. Everything seems to be spot on and looking at my old dyno sheets that I had done when BPU. The BHP and Torque lines are at 0.85, 1.2 and 1.4bar. The delivery of power once I am above 2500rpm is quicker and much stronger. Was it worth the money - DEFINITELY
Ian C
I like the look of that heat shield for the brake lines, me want A neat install. Good AFRs too apart a little iffy having 14.5 to 15:1 before 3500, as you are seeing up to 0.8bar boost - but it sorts itself out after that -Ian

Alex
Blimey...have to say the power figures look reasonable too - as in not silly! At 6,000rpm you can see it tailing off I'm guessing that say a nice pair of 264's would keep the power rising to the end (with no real negative trade off)
Vaughany
Hi Alex I think the cams are next followed closely by an uprated auto gearbox. I would like to say I would be done there but this addiction is biting.

I would like to say I would be done there but this addiction is biting. Good lad Hmmm we're on similar setups would be good to see if I can get my EBC hooked up soon and dyno run at similar boost levels. The problem with mapping it yourself is that you're never happy enough with it to actually bite the bullet and go for it...
