I to have sort of the same problem . it holds back when cold but it stops after 2 mins of driving , This is the silly part it does miss/ hold back for want of a better word at high revs, almost like the start of boost cut but not all the time out of 10 times ill drive the car ill get it once.

From what i have read on here coil packs and the coil pack connectors are commen problems so i will start my search there .

Rich.

The 2JZ-GE has a variable induction system to maximise the torque/power across the rev range - the reason why the manifold splits into two separate runners - a butterfly valve opens around 5K rpm which causes the power surge you feel.

It sounds like the butterfly valve is not opening, I think the pic you posted is the actuator for the valve, I've posted the service manual on your other thread which will hopefully help.

the valve wasnt opening cuz the arm wasnt connected but now it is and you can feel it, like you say the suge of power. i just need the C clip that holds it so it cant come off again.
