Terminator
Got a 2 year old Samsung laptop and the mother board has lost a small length of printed circuit on the charge circuit, near the DC socket, caused by loose hinge. Samsung in their wisdom, have not released replacement boards. So this £800 lap top is potential scrap. Anyone help? if so please email me, thanks. The-Plethora
Any chance of a pic? I did a new power connector on a dell recently where the central pin inside had bust. Managed to find a new power connector on ebay and pop the old one off the board and replace it. It was a horrific job to do though as everything was connected to something else so not easy to get at, had to have a very specialised tiny soldering iron to do it. Depends how big this small circuit trace is, could you bridge it with a small wire or is really tiny? All may not be lost, I seem to remember hearing about special pens where you could effectively draw traces which sounds like it would be just the job, I forget what you call them though maybe someone else knows?
