Steve
Where do people mount the emanage control unit? Just wanted to start running some wires before Vortex finish the rest
JustGav
I put mine just below the radio in that double din slot... The other choice is to modify the centre console bit by your arm and put it in there.. Gav
Steve
Do you mean the control bit (E01)? I meant the big blue main unit that all the wires plug in to.
JustGav
Yeah, I meant the actual emange, not the profec unit.. Gav
Alex
I put it under the passenger seat...others mount it to the passenger side of the gearbox tunnel...both are under the carpet and hidden from view.

Matt Harwood
I've started to put them by the gearbox tunnel, as Alex said. We used to put them under the centre console armrest, but Ian moaned at me, so they all go by the tunnel now

Steve
Sorry guys How do you mount it to the tunnel?
Alex
Big velcro strips is easiest as it's not a flat surface.
JustGav
6 inch nails and a big hammer *grin* Double sided velcro and trim the carpet so you can tuck the wires behind the carpet to look sweet... Gav

JustGav
Nope, it doesn't work as an FCD.... as it doesn't link into the MAP sensor... Gav

JustGav
Sorry, yes alex is correct.... I was talking from my experience on my car (99)... Gav
Alex
Yes you do cause you WILL use the MAP sensor for your fuel map. Your setup will be the same as Ian's FC occurs about 4.40v but you'll never hit that with bigger injectors, as you'll be backing the fueling off so much.
