Help! supra wont rev over 4000rpm, sounds ruff

Fouled plugs would be my first guess.

 

As above though have a play.....

 

Remove the spark plug cover and start the engine. While it is running 1 at a time pull off the coil pack connector and put them back on. If you notice a change in the idle, move onto the next. If there is no change in the idle then I would guess that either the coilpack clip is fooked or the spark plug is goosed.

 

I would get the timing checked regardless, if you went through the limiter that could cause all sorts of problems.
