Matt H
I'm going to be doing 3 days a week down there for a few weeks. I need arrange accomodation and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for hotels / nice B&B It's on the companies books so it's got to be reasonably priced but if it had it's own gym that would be great (might be pushing it) as there's no DW Sports Fitness around there. probrox
I've just been told by a colleague that 'The Atlantic Hotel' and 'County Hotel' are both alright. Cheap and cheerful but right in town.

Matt H
The amount of Fords down here is nuts. I know it's 'Ford' town but what ever happened to a bit of variety?
Matt H
If anyone's working down in Chelmsford and looking for a hotel, I fully recommend the Windmill Motor Inn. It's a cracking place with good food and a homely atmosphere, which was decent value for money.
Supralad
where is that? you should have just used the travelodge in the centre of town..
Matt H
where is that? you should have just used the travelodge in the centre of town.. It's in Braintree - 6 miles out. The travel lodge was terrible. I gave it a go while I was there and had a cr&p nights sleep. Someone was actually trying to kick down the door to the room next to me! Plus all the traffic from the Army and Navy roundabout whizzing past all night.
