bullet_uk
is anyone runny 19'' alloys wanna know if 19'' look and handle ok ?
Lee_e
I run on 19's handling is ok .. would probably say with the right tyres for the right occasion and a fresh geo set up it would be ok. mine is also lowered by 25mm all around. I would go for 18's when i buy wheels next though.
L18msy
TBH it does tramline a bit and you feel everything but i like it. Edited February 23, 2011 by L18msy (see edit history)
AlliRR
also on 19's and lowered on coilovers, handles fine. Though like jim_jimmy1 I'll be getting 18's too with a higher profile for track use... but i'm keeping the 19's for general use

monsween
Ive run both 18's and 19's and the 19's are a harder ride. For what i use the car for it makes no odds to me
bullet_uk
well the sup is my everyday car so she gets a good work out
monsween
I use mine for everyday run-around quite a bit. Chop and change between cars.
L18msy
As said before get a geometry done after you fit wheels and/or suspension as you don't want to be replacing tyres too often, they can be expensive for those sizes.
Guest 7w34k
I run 19"s lowered on tein coilovers and drive the car everyday. They definitely ride rough, but the car handles great. Lbm
I have 19s. Recently had a Geo set up and new HSDs. Feels very good. Better than my 18s on my previous rock hard suspension which to be fair never enjoyed a full Geo set up. They look good too on the Supe. KamaSupra
Good to see some peoples views on 19's, I've often thought of swapping my 18's for something a bit bigger but never searched into it
safcdixon
I also have 19" alloys the handling is really good in the dry and cack in the wet! But IMO they fill the arches and look better the 17"s and 18"s
Dnk
I also have 19" alloys the handling is really good in the dry and cack in the wet! But IMO they fill the arches and look better the 17"s and 18"s Dont see how thats down to wheel size, what tyres and pressures are you using, suspension set up, has your car had a full geo ? My cars fine in the wet on very wide 19's but i do have to drive accordingly to the conditions, my car is quite firm on lowered suspension and is also using much stiffer than stock anti roll bars which makes it much less forgiving. Standing water is possibly the biggest issue with wider wheels but then you use your experiance and as above drive accordingly. My car in the dry i love, on track or on rd, luckily mine is not a daily driver as i think with the state of our rds these days depending how bad the rds are where you are would make me think 19's are a bad idea. Having a 4x4 to bounce over all the pot holes etc certainly makes life much better. I doubt i could live with my car if i had no other transport. MisterSheen
Here's mine on 19's, running on HiperMax II suspension. Firm ride, but not back breaking at least Edited February 24, 2011 by MisterSheen Linky not worky (see edit history)
safcdixon
Yeah my rear tyres aren't the best they are cheapys probobly explains the wet driving being pants!
Thorin
Stick with 18's.
jihwaan
I have 19's - had these same wheels on both supra's - my last supra had bilsteins and she handled like she was on rails with these wheels but the ride was slightly harsh (nothing unbearable- just a little harsh- depends on the condition of the roads a lot also) but this supra I have now just has standard RZ-s suspension and its fine- the softer suspension more than compensates for the lack of sidewall. They fill the guards nicely too.
