Apple Mac G5 Tower + Dell 2405FPW Monitor + ATi Card

For sale is my trusty workhouse Apple Mac G5.

This is a G5 tower model running OS 10.4.8.

It's a Dual 2 GHz PowerPC (pre-Intel) with 4GD DDR SDRAM, 2 internal hard drives (400GB and 250GB).

I uprated the video card to an ATi Radeon 9600 Pro (which will support up to a 30" monitor). I still have the box and instructions etc for this plus the original Mac video card as a back-up - also included. Card alone (and this is the very card) is still retailing for £160+ http://www.okobe.co.uk/ws/product/ATI+Radeon+9600+Pro+PC+Mac+Edition+256MB+DDR+SDRAM+Graphics+Card/1000006514?ref=1q4bs

Mac comes with extended brushed metal keyboard and Mighty Mouse.

Monitor is a Dell 2405FPW (24") which has slots for just about everything!

All cables etc are here as well. Pics below.

Looking for £300ono on the understanding that I don't really want to send this via courier due to weight and not having a decent box that I can guarantee won't get kicked to hell by the knuckle-draggers that often deliver! Hence this is a collection only OR I'll drive and meet half way within reason (Scotland and Devon forget it!).

What is the newest version of osx that this CPU will support? is it the one installed?

What is the model number?

As i dont think you can install snowleopard etc, or even Leopard?

Do you have a price without monitor?

Hi mate - I think the OS is as far as the PowerPC will go - it won't take OS5 (Leopard).

Was hoping to sell with the monitor really as on it's own it's unlikely to sell (I'd think!).

Make me an offer close to the price and I'll certainly consider it - it's priced really keenly considering that base G5s exactly like this are going for £400 from resellers with nothing else.

Ive had a little read, it will take leopard but it doesn't run all that well in some cases, i think ill leave it fella, as tiger is a bit oldskool for my limited mac knowledge, tis a good price with the monitor though (£200 monitor)

Cheers mate - as a bundle it's worth about £600 even today!
