Thorin
600bhp+ 1/4 mile depends on how much grip you can get...
Guest tblandy
So 600fwhp + upto ??? What boost could i run safely for daily and safely for track? Rough 1/4 as my GTR at the minute is 11.5-12s grip dependant @ 1.2bar
Thorin
Well people have run 11's at BPU, so certainly into the 10's.
Bailey.
Is it a billet 6765 turbo or non billet?
johnny g
I'm guessing mid-high 600's, low 11's 1/
dandan
My (non billet) 67DBB made 621hp and 589lb.ft at 1.7bar, another member (Jamie P) made 632hp and 545lb.ft at 1.8 bar on the same model turbo and both of us were on stock motors with stock cams. With the 272 cams you have planned you should be well into the high 600's. If you change to a billet 6765 then you could be up in the mid 700's with the right boost and fuel. Guest tblandy
So i'm looking at 600-650 flywheel and an 11-11.5 1/4 mile Do the 2JZ engine take 1.6-1.8 comfortably and reliably?

With the right ECU/mapping, and a healthy engine, yes.
Guest tblandy
So with some R888's or decent legal drag tyres RPS Streetmax clutch LSD And mapped by Ryan.G or someone All should be well for 650Hp and a reliable Low 11 ? What else would i need?

Gaz6002
R888s aren't very good for drag racing.
SimonB
All should be well for 650Hp and a reliable Low 11 ? What else would i need? Lots of practice at getting off the line and/or traction control.
Scott
Not taking driver ability, transmission, chassis mods or tyre type into account will mean that the time will vary WILDLY. Potentially you could be into the mid-high 10s, that will take decent suspension for drag racing (not rock hard), at least semi slick tyres and good driver ability. Throw in a high stall auto box and you will be at the lower end of that limit. In a general road legal street setup you will be looking around the 12 second mark, maybe creeping into the 11s if you are good. All IMO of course. JamieP
I did a 10.9 1/4 on my old t67 setup, i did get a decent start, 1.6 60ft. I would advise upgrading to the billet 6765 unless you have already bought the T67.
Dan_Turism0
despite the obvious is there any major difference/gain between the 6765 and 6768?
JamieP
despite the obvious is there any major difference/gain between the 6765 and 6768? 68mm turbine wheel instead of the 65mm the 6765 has, Its rated for about 30bhp more iirc. dude
If you look at my Avatar that was my first auto Supra I built, Stall converter was wrong so had a 2 sec 60ft and still ran 10.8's (with race fuel) that was an old 67 P trim journal bearing turbo. Kevin Huntley
The 67dbb was one of the first turbo's I ever had, used to love the power delivery was great around a track and for fast road use.
