Jay
Just got my renewal through from Elephant, and i'm suprised to say the least. Last year my insurance with them was for £2000+, 22yo, 3NCB, no points/accidents and all my mods declared on a TRD 3000GT. I'm now 23, got 4 years NCB, still no points/accidents and my my renewal has just come through at £1200, a startling £800 drop in a year! I've had what I considered to be a very good quote from Sky, but it's nowhere near that cheap, but much better cover. One of those 'shall I be a cheapskate' dilemna's... Marty
Nice one mate Try getting a quote off admiral online, http://www.admiral.com. I tried elephant n got a crackin quote, £490 fully comp protected, and then tried admiral, and they were £30 cheaper (car valued at 10k and doin 12k per year). I am only 23 with 5yrs. Also, put yr mum or dad on as a named driver, brings your insurance down a good few hundred quid believe it or not. Ive got my mum on mine, not that im ever gonna let her drive it!!! Only put your mum on,not your dad, even if your dad is a better driver. I tried to put my old man on, they wanted £87, put my old dear on and it dropped £200 - because "she is a woman" is the response I got! Jay
Yeah my dad's already a named driver on my policy, that brought it down by £200 last year.
RedM
When you add a parent as a named driver how much info do you have to give? Both my parents live at least 200 miles away and that might stand out a tad.
