BazzaAlpine
In reference to a thread I started in the wanted section: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?239943-BOV-rubber-pipes. Just bought the BOV that Jonny5 was selling and he's kindly put the pipe adapter with it. Now I want to put this in the same place that a lot of other supra owners have put theirs: Take of the stock BOV, block up the top pipe, use the vac pipe and replace the bottom pipe with one that lets the BOV sit upright. I have looked on eBay and just looked around 4 bloody shops in cambridge (3 car shops, 2 of which are dedicated to moding, and a store that deals with high power tools and machinery) not to mention the above thread and does anywhere have a pipe? No! FFS. How can something so common as this mod be so hard to find a flipping pipe and bung for /Rant over. Thanks for taking the time to listen. monsween
Have you measured the pipe you have? Might help with a picture of said BOV
BazzaAlpine
The adapter is 34mm. I figured if I got one that could just squeeze over that I'll be able to clamp the other end fine. Not too sure how a pic will help but I'll get a couple up later including one of where I want it to go. Thanks for the help in the other thread btw. Still can't find a suitable stopper thing though. Mate of mine said he just got a metal disk made up and wedged that in there :s
monsween
35mm - 25mm reducer http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Silicone-Hose-Blue-Straight-Reducer-35-25-mm-3-Ply-/280620345435?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item415646a85b 25mm - 19mm reducer http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/25mm-19mm-Straight-Reducer-Silicone-Hose-Blue-/140395302144?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20b0364d00 25mm Coupler http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Alloy-hose-joiner-25mm-1-dia-Silicon-Silicone-hose-/160516781831?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item255f8bb707 Bit of a pain in the arse but that'd possibly work. Just need someone to confirm its a 19mm outlet on the stock pipes
j_jza80
Mate of mine said he just got a metal disk made up and wedged that in there :s Go to you local Pirtek and order something suitable. You may even find something at your local plumbers merchants or B&Q. DON'T go wedging random bits of metal in!
Scott
If it's the pipe I am thinking of I cut the stock one and made a 19mm bung in work. I sold a couple of them. Should be easy enough to get one I think most people use the end of a broom
