adi2009
I just came across this when i was joblessly browsing through suprastore: http://www.suprastore.com/gremul.html
Gamer
Sounds interesting
JustGav
I've spotted that... Apparently the black unit has nice features on it... Doubt very much it will be similar to the blue, such a pity... would be nice to shoehorn on the firmware onto a blue unit, like you can with the gold. JustGav
I do like the AF target map... will make tuning a lot easier.... Now all we do is get one somehow... Gav
adi2009
I'm surprised that only Titanmotorsports and Suprastore carry the unit now. ANyways, guess we ll have to wait and see for someone to get it and try it out!!!
Alex
More here http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/tmp/ultimate_emanage/index.html
JustGav
Well, I've ordered one, so lets see how it goes.... Gav
Alex
I think Chis won't be far behind with his order too...though I want to see the full feature list before I do anything. It still doesn't officially support 1997.8+ Supra's (VVTi's)
JustGav
Yeah, but does it support the Aristo?? Gav
Alex
Hmmm yes it does...how odd...
JustGav
There we go then.... should do the VVTi on a supra without any problems since they share the same engine... When I spoke to Greddy (Trust) in the US, they said use aristo and they would be happy with it, altho still not 100% supported Gav
JustGav
アリスト JZS161 97.8~ 2JZ-GTE JZS147 91.9~97.7 2JZ-GTE Which in my rough jap is the aristo version...... Gav
Alex
If anyone can find a definitive list of the features in it then please post them up. This could be very good news for those of us that would love to use a standalone but can't quite stretch to it.
JustGav
Okay, this is what I've worked out so far.. features include Airflow Adjustment Map Airflow output map Injector adjustment map Acceleration injector map Acceleration ignition map Aux output setting - (On / Off) I assume for watercooling NVCS map - VTEC stuff (perhaps could be used for VVTI) Vehicle speed adjusment map Revlimiter map A/F target map - For use with a wideband O2 sensor Analouge output setting - For use with fly by wire throttle Has 2 outputs/inputs Boost sensor input Wires into the ignition to provide advance and retard Wires into the injectors to provide control of the injector length pulse (both shortening and lenghtening unlike the blue/gold units) TPS Connection MAF Sensor Connection MAP Sensor Connection (Can be used for boost cut on the vvti to clamp it) So far that is what I've managed to ascertain.. adi2009
Gav, i didnt think you'd go for it already!!! Yeah, but does it support the Aristo?? Gav The only possible thing that might not allow it to be used on the aristo is its wiring loom. i m using an aristo engine is my NA-TT swap but with the supra TT wiring loom ofcourse. JustGav
The fact that you can have a target AFR map really appeals to me, means my base map can be fairly rough and it will correct the map for me... Also I want to try the iVTEC feature which I'm going to have a go linking into the VVTi.. And then there is the water injection (but I can do that with the blue/gold version anyway). Alex
The VVTi is very different to VTEC...personally I wouldn't attempt it if it says VTEC only. If it states it can run VVTi then fair enough but the 2 systems are NOT compatible. And quite honestly you dont need control of it really...unless you go for cams in which case you'd have the VALCON controller instead. JustGav
iVTEC is very similar in design to VVTi, and is not like the original VTEC in that it has variable positioning..... I want to get the car running smoothly first before I use that canof advanced stuff anyway... Gav
adi2009
So does having 'Target AFRs' mean that someone with very basic knowlegde about tuning can set it up and have it running?
JustGav
That is my assumption as well.... Gav
adi2009
Would really like to see what Ian thinks about this unit.
Alex
To have a target AFR map means it must hook into a WB02 sensor...this is a good thing...what I really want to know is if it has a better Anti Stall feature for use with MAF's and atmos bovs
JustGav
The anti-stall I'm hoping is to what they now refer to as the Aux Output, since it appears to be a clamp of sorts by the looks of it... Gav
Alex
A limiting clamp would be superb....but a voltage fixer again will do my skull in!!!
Nic
I've just checked price and availability of the Greddy E-manage Ultimate here, my supplier has stock and price would be £292 plus postage. If anyone wants one give me a shout.
