Rob_Mitchell
i know its quite a older turbo but how successul would it be using a stock auto still? i would imagine it would be laggy? has anyone run this setup? would i see the 500+ i want to achieve? or is the turbo for higher bhp figures? Rob_Mitchell
Laggy!!!! what pointless using then? or would the punch still be good
Lee P
You won't get full boost till over 5000rpm depending on which model it is. It won't be In it's efficiency range till over 1.5bar so if you keeping it around 500hp it won't be using it's potential and won't drive very nice. Rob_Mitchell
ok cheers lee. scrap that idea then. what about the t78? lol
Dan_Turism0
I'd say it's still a much larger turbo than you really need for that power goal mate
Jamesy
why not a pokey little T61 ?? if your staying stock autobox mate you dont want a huge turbo/torque anyway as you'll melt it
wallis
If u want 500+ with a stock auto i would go for the Garrett GTX35R Billet Or Even GTX30R Would be a spool monster with either but the GTX35R would prob be a bit to big and take u over 600bhp. tooquicktostop
Small fast spooling single with 500bhp max or BPU is the best way to enjoy the stock Auto Supra, anything bigger is just a risk to the stock box IMO
Rob_Mitchell
nice edit. im worried about what a stock box can take now, i had visions of running 500bhp no probs with coolers
