plus1
Lets here which roads you like drive just for the sake of driving..... 1) Wales Start at Brecon and travel north on the A470. Turn right after Ernwood onto the B4567, follow to the end and turn left on the A481. Turn right, A483 and enjoy all the way to Newton. Distance approx 55 miles. 2) Lincolnshire Horncastle to Caistor on the B1225, just watch out for bikers!!!!Distance about 23 miles Happy driving Ian
Havard
We once did the west coast of Scotland from Troon/Ayr down to Portpatrick. I would have to look up the road number but I remember it being one of the best. Also, anywhere around Whitchurch or Congleton. H.
Stephendjb
A57 Snake Pass only any good after 9pm though, too much traffic otherwise.
johnny g
A66 from M6 to Scotch Corner. I like that.
Charlotte
The roads around Hawes are great. I think it's the A684? Lots of steep hills and twistys.
Gaz6002
A272 - all of it! If you hit it in an evening or early morning it's one of the best driving roads in the country. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A272_road Also, the B660 near here is pretty epic. j_jza80
This is one of my favourites, it's very demanding, and there's loads of elevation and camber change, and much of it is a single lane.
caseys
A272 - all of it! If you hit it in an evening or early morning it's one of the best driving roads in the country. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A272_road Trying to remember the lovely A-Road from mawb's house to Salisbury, was a lovely sweeping road with a 2-3 mile stretch of trees lining it both sides in bloom, rolling fields behind it. Comes down to north Salisbury. Driving down it in the summertime made me feeling like I was in a scenic part of gran turismo.
Havard
The roads around Hawes are great. I think it's the A684? Lots of steep hills and twistys. I do Sedbergh to Lunds (Near Hawes) regularly. I love that road and have mastered it over the years, much to the annoyance of my passengers..!! H.

pjavon
One of mine is from Capel Curig to Beddgelert. Great road in the week, to busy at the weekends though Capel Curig to Beddgelert
Rob
The roads around Hawes are great. I think it's the A684? Lots of steep hills and twistys. I used to have to drive the whole of the A684 to the M6 to a Job in Lancaster every fortnight, it was a very good commute. However the Buttertubs road south off the 684 in Hawes is a much betterer road, and the road from Ingleton to Hawes is seven shades of awesome. Bilsdale TT is a damn fine road too, if you get it clear as there are few safe overtaking points.

Nic
A170 from Thirsk over Sutton Bank to Scraborough is fun and very scenic. Also loads of great little B roads around Osmotherly over the North York Moors.
