michael Posted June 24, 2005 Share Posted June 24, 2005 Nice pics, I'll upload mine tomorrow (do you mind if I steal yours for my personal collection?) - I was shocked to see the facelift rear lights but couldn't really get close enough to get pics as good as yours, they were moving it around when I first saw it and then the second time it was behind a fence and closed up. Great to see in the flesh and nice to see your interior and engine pics. I managed to miss it going up the hill but caught a reply on the big TVs - glad someone got it on video! michael Posted June 25, 2005 Share Posted June 25, 2005 Didn't see any other soops in the car park tho I was in an LPG Astra, cost £30 to do the 500 miles instead of £100+ in the black whale Some really impressive stuff in the carparks, Shelby GT500 and Porsche 550 Spyder were definately a shock to see parked on the bumpy field. (edit - unless it was leaving....) Had a great day too, got a bit burnt tho Saw loads of lambos (my dream cars), and a zonda. Did anyone see the "supercar" lineup thing, that went past about 3.30 pm. That was with the zonda, the murcielago and the murcielago roadster amongst about 25-30 cars. Anyway, just after they had finished going past there was some crazy looking concept style supercar, looked like something from a sci-fi film ? Isn't it just fantastic! I love the: The lines and style The engine bay The wheels The livery ...ok, the cocpits alittle basic, so what! michael Posted June 25, 2005 Share Posted June 25, 2005 Have you got any pics of the Shelby Sadly not, saw it on the way in but we were too keen to get in to the event for photos, planned to take some on the way out but the huge storm meant I stayed dry in the car. It was leaving, doing a 900 point turn in an effort to turn a huge corner - I suspect my dream of a JGTC car for the road may be challenged by the lack of practical steering lock (and cash). I was with a sensible mate who brought sun cream but it was a scorcher, cracking day out and something I'll be doing again although I'll stay down or fly in next time I think. That selection of cars sounded amazing, I was expecting an F50 or an Enzo but the ones that were there did the trick anyway, the Zonda sounded fantastic and the Pininfarina Birdcage (the crazy looking concept) looked completely freaky.
