nismo_lp
Been an eventfull couple of days ... one friend got his new BMW M5 on thursday and i thought that was fast with 508bhp, its an unbelievable car, huge, luxurious and with such smooth power all that way well to 180mph (got a little cared after that, hes never had padel shifts before!) Then today my dads business partner picked up his nice new 911 Turbo S and fook me its amazeing! Cant believe the power in that! Standard its apparently 420bhp but his has been played with and is pushing 480! The speed is almost stupid! Had a nice drive in it and cant stop thinking about it. So basically when my supra gets here in 2 weeks... ive got a couple of races lol Dont really fancy my chances though, but oh well!

Chiefgroover
You'd be well surprised what a moderately tuned Supra can do against either of these.

nismo_lp
Get a nice T-88 single you will woop both of them Like the sound of that! Pretty sure they would both kill a supe on the bends though. Think ive managed to talk them both into a track day as well! Could be fun, never been myself!
nismo_lp
180? Has he had it de-restricted already?! Sorry its an 04, the last owner did the mods, aftermarket exhorsts all together not too sure what they are though it even has blacked out windows ... the bad boy! Its git some wicked controls to it to, would be interested getting them on my supe, aparent its got something called i-mob (i think thats what its called) he can apparently start the car with his mobile! Chiefgroover
Supra on corners, bog std Supra was measured @ 0.98g on bridgestone re020's by motor trend in March 1993, if your tryes and shocks are up to it, you'll do a decent job. After experiencing all the "super hyped" names on the ring, I fear none, Supra if its in good order will always be capable of a respectable performance despite its age of design. I was told I'd never catch a 996 turbo on the ring, never mind striped out golfs etc, lets just say my Supra did me proud. I'd rather have a Supra with £50k spent on it than any of the expensive machinery out there. I dont own it because it fitted a budget, but because its the best sportscar in the world IMO!. http://www.supraforums.com is very interesting, with quite a few Americans who own big mercs, lambos, ferrari etc, who also have a 800bhp supra in the drive as the "real fast car". Interesting :-)
Ian R
Will always look like an a**hole in a BMW though I really loathe them. No doubt they are fantastic cars just could never bring myself to own one. Well infact I often own them
green_dragon
There is a buying guide in this months EVO magazine on the E46 M3, and the M3 CSL.... £645 for an inspection 1 service, and £796 for an inspection 2 service. hahahahahahahhahahaha So not only do you LOOK better driving a Supe, SOUND better driving a Supe, and turn more heads driving a Supe, you don't get your pants pulled down every time the little service light flashes in a Supe
Jspec Germany
I own a 93 Supra and a 97 540i. Need I tell you which costs me more in maintenance?
green_dragon
Go on...indulge me
Jspec Germany
The 540 of course. Seems like there's always something going wrong with it, of course it's got more f*ckin gadgetry than the jet I fly in, but never mind that, I think I actually get better gas mileage in the supra. Then again, I make the wife drive the BMW day to day and she's got a heavy foot. She got flashed yesterday by a camera in the Netherlands which will be her third if the other two ever show up. That makes 5 possible tickets between the two of us over the last 9 months. We haven't seen one yet. *fingers and toes crossed*
green_dragon
I think I actually get better gas mileage in the supra. Thats a scary thought. :thumbdown Good luck with the tickets, hope they get lost en-route to your door mat
Jspec Germany
Yeah, me too. I didn't mention the fact that everytime I drive the supra, it gets at least 8 seconds of WOT. Too bad that's only once or twice a week, weather dependent. Then again, I live 300 meters from the autoban.

What a rip! Got Flashed in Holland too, doing about 3 to 5mph over the limit, they dont give you much slack, but i doubt i'll hear anything!.
