Shocker problems

my supra tt 6 speed has a knackered rear shocker. ive been told it has : super supra struts : . never herd of this before. tried a supra rear but didnt fit.

can anyone shed some light on this one. regards steve

I'm guessing you mean super strut suspension like the levins ect? The supra doesn't have this, it most likely has bilstein unless changed to after market.

 

You should easily be able to sorce what your looking for on here. Just get the proper info on what your looking for.

Post up some pics of the dampers and springs you have fitted so we can try to identify what they are.

 

All MKIV Supra models have the same fit of dampers/springs. If you have tried to fit a new damper and it didn't fit, then it must have either been from a different car model or it was a front damper instead of a rear.

 

This is a pic of the stock Toyota/Bilstein dampers for reference.

That's not true they use to be quite cheap from Toyota.

 

you might be right i was just going by what i was quoted from Mr T where i live.

They quoted me £750 for all four corners about 2 years ago so i went direct to bilstein and got them for either £300 or £400

With the updated internal and shorter rod to allow the car to be lowerd.

Maybe they might have been trying it on!
