Darn Insurance hike RANT

As a legal requirement why?? And if im in the top % of qualified drivers why would they not want to insure me. Surely i would be a 'safe bet'?? I have never seen a quote like it. They did however ring to see if i would like to take out the policy of which i had to decline

It could be your job or where you live, or any number of things. Each company is different and the way they each assess your risk profile is different too. Don't take offense, the whole car insurance industry is pretty much screwed up whoever you are.

Had my renewal through from Sky at £542, thats with 9yrs NCD, very old, TT J-spec with few mods. So I called to see how much extra to include boost controller as added mod this year and it pushed it up to £742. Rang around and got it from MarkRichard for £475 including the boost controller.

thats who im with, as posted in this thread.

£90 ish quid extra with all mods included & was still cheaper than some of the quotes i was getting with mods not declared, but members on here have had shocking quotes off them,

Its strange but when I first went on the Markrichards site and got an online quote it was way too expensive but then I received a call on Friday asking me if they could provide another quote which they did and it was the best to date. Suggests their online side isn't quite up to date.

Amazing to finally find a company to insure the supra at a sensible price. LIVINGSTONE AND WARMAN

I must have tried nearly every insurance company I could, My insurance with sky has gone from £320 last couple of years to £460 this year!

In fairness they were still the cheapest until I found Livingsone and warman. They are a small family run business that are offering good discounts for car club members . They quoted me £295 fully comp. I know it is all done on individual basis but has to be worth a try as everyone who has used them so far has saved lots of money

contact 01935 706258

I even started a new thread for people not reading this, they deserve a try from everyone imo.

Found another insurer that specialise in heavily moddified, classic, show cars, limited use cars etc.

They are called Need to insure ltd. contact 01623 720081.

They have just quoted me £263.16 fully comp on my supra. I thought Livingstone and warmans was cheap at £295.

They again are doing special deals for paid club members so definatly worth a try.
