Chris Wilson
http://www.garaget.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=203261/G%F6ran Goran is putting a Tractive sequential fog box in his MKIV, the same box I have used in my RWD Skyline. He sent this link to a web site showing his progress so far, will be interesting to see how this transmission fits in the JZA80, it's a very small and comapct unit, it should be lost in the tunnel. There are some pics of me developing the install on my Skyline at ftp://ftp.chriswilson.tv/tractive It's now done 10 or so track days and been totally reliable, with only three oil changes needed. the ability to change overall gear ratios in minutes via drop gears is a Godsend, and main ratio changes are easy, too. Paul Whiffin
Looks good, interesting to see he had an oil pump explode as well and he said he modified it to stop it happening, wonder what he did.
Chris Wilson
Looks good, interesting to see he had an oil pump explode as well and he said he modified it to stop it happening, wonder what he did. I'll find out. I suspect he's used a none OE crank damper and torsionals have killed the pumps rotor assembly either through crank flex or harmonics. He's doing what I did and has bought a new auto bellhousing from a 2JZ and making an adaptor plate to the transmission.
