Does The Apexi FC Control Boost?

I have an Apexi FC and commander unit in my Supe, and there is a boost guage in place of the clock.

I'm currently running upto 1.1bar of boost (have both cats and a HKS 3" exhaust) and I would like to turn it down to 1 or 0.9bar.

Now, does the FC control boost? Can I adjust it? Does anyone know how? Or do I need the FC Boost Controller Kit?

Also, does the Apexi FC have a FCD built in?

When you say both cats, do you mean decats? If so it will most likely be the restrictor ring that is holding you back, if not then there is definitely a boost controller somewhere. I have no idea if a Power fc controls the boost or not.

If it is the restrictor ring that is keeping the boost at bay you will need a smaller one :)

No Scott, I have both the cats in place, I'm looking to de-cat soon though.

Ahh, there is definitely something increasing your boost then.

A quick way to solve your issue is to remove the boost control solenoid. Looking at your engine bay from the front of the car it will be plumbed at the left hand side next to the fan. Simply remove it and fit the pipes back in a stock manor. This will see you cut back to around 0.8, 0.9 bar :)

ben, you can turn the boost down via settings on your apexi power fc..

go into settings and turn it down..

also your car AFR is ok mate (we checked via AFR gauge plummed into exhuast on way to mot)..

its been pretty well tuned as it shifts very well and the afr readings are on the money..

i would turn boost down a little or remove cats and turn up a little more.
