MR2 N/A spares/repairs - possible project car?

Hi Guys,

As some of you will know, I've managed to crash the MR2. If you haven't read the story and what I believe to be the damage, look here:

http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?239458-Rip-mr2

I have no time to invest in getting this car back on the road - which is really a very upsetting thought for me as I love this car a lot. :(

For that reason, therefore, I'm offering it to another member (first of all) to see if any of you fancy a project. She is a 93, L, import N/A manual in black.

The facts things you should know:

1) It has been SORN'd - tax disc sent back, so will need collecting on a trailer/flatbed etc

2) I don't know the full extent of the damage, as I have not had it looked at by a loss adjuster/Toyota professional - it is what it is, please don't ask me to confirm that you will ever be able to get this car back on the road. It is worth quite a few quid as parts, however, if you have time to break it.

3) Although the crash left me in a ditch, I got the car home under its own power and therefore the insurance companies have not been informed - will not be recorded as a loss for insurance purposes.

4) The car has a practically new MOT on it, with no advisories (although I suspect there might be a few now :p ). I recently had to pay to get the rear braces sorted (common MR2 problem, affectionatley known as "cancer braces")

5) The odometer reads 158k (I think it's somewhere around there), it was a fairly high KM model import, and I estimate the mileage to be somewhere around the 120k mark

6) I have a folder full of receipts, paperwork, bills etc for the car dating back to its first owner in this country

7) Prior to the crash, this car was as sweet as a nut - it wasn't my daily, but drove it nearly every day because I loved it so much - engine, electrics etc were all brilliant - a pleasure to drive.

8) The car is now sat at the drive way at my mother's house in Warwick. Collection will be from there and I have no way of delivering it. Although I'm more than willing to help you load it onto a truck or trailer.

9) Paint work and body work was generally quite good for a car of it's age. Obviously there is damage to the wing as a result of the impact.

10) The car isn't modified in any way.

I have no idea what price to ask for it. Make me cash offers, swaps, PX (WHY) etc.

If no interest here in a couple of days, will Ebay or PH it.

Please feel free to ask any questions - I'll try my best to answer them.

Here are a few pics of her before the crash, last summer:

Crash pictures are in the other thread.

Cheers,

Josh

If you decide how much it is I will see if `er indoors fancies it, she's pouring fuel in her Stagea like a mad woman and was talking of a cheap runaround for going to work in. Would have to be very cheap though, not much over scrap value.

I've sent you an email Chris.
