I'm selling my excellent Alpine CDA-9812RB headunit and KCA-420i iPod interface module.

For anyone that doesn't know about these units, they are among the best CD headunits that Alpine has ever made. It packs a 4x 60w amplifier (yes, 60w per channel! it requires a dedicated 30w permanent live) and the sound quality is fantastic.

Here's a bit more on the unit:

"CDA-9812RB - CD / MP3 / WMA Receiver / Changer Controlled

With 60 watts per channel of built-in power and playback capability for your MP3 and WMA tracks – plus MediaXpander™ processing for making those compressed tracks really shine – the CDA-9812RB is ideal as a power-packed stand-alone component, or as an solid basis for an extended multimedia system.

As you can see, this headunit is especially well equipped to be in control of any sound system/ICE install you can throw at it. The 4v pre outs allow for exceptional sound quality when run through an amplifier/s. It has an Alpine AI net connection in the back, which allows various Alpine modules to be connected (inc DAB, USB, Bluetooth, CD changer etc)

The unit is in full working order, everything lights up and works exactly as it should. It is in quite good cosmetic shape for it's age, it does have the odd minor mark on the facia, and some very fine scratching on the display, as to be expected with any second hand headunit. The facia is motorised, and can be set at various angles.

The KCA-420i iPod interface module allows full control of an Ipod/iPhone from the headunit, and allows the headunit to display track information etc. It will also charge older ipods (to charge newer iPods/iPhones, a different lead is required, approx. £15 on Ebay) This works perfectly, and is a very desireable extra. Just go on Ebay and see how much these go for on their own! All leads are included for connection to the headunit.

Now for some pictures:

I'm looking for £160 Posted for both (mainland UK) The head unit was over £300 new, and the iPod module another £100, so grab a bargain! I'll even include the DIN pocket if the unit is collected, and help you install it if required :)

Does it require an adaptor for the DAB side? Ive got an Alpine with the KCa-420 unit, good bit of kit :)

Yeah, it needs an Alpine TUA-T100DAB module. IIRC AI-net control modules can be plugged into splitters, enabling you to use any number of them on one system.
