Hi all

Have the following Oil Temp and Oil Pressure probe to fit the car this week, need some help in getting the right sized parts for these to bolt into.

Oil Temp - M12 x 1.5mm

Oil Pressure port thread 3/8" x 24 UNF male

OPTION 1

Facelift Union Bolt for the Oil pressure

AND

Oil Sump Plug Adaptor - will this one fit fine?

OPTION 2

Sandwich plate for both to connect into, would this one be the right one to go for?

help appreciated.

Good question, the option 1 facelift bolt sounds like a good bet, not sure about the sump plug though.

Is the sump the best place to measure oil temp?

I always thought so, as its a more stable temp and so reflects a realistic average, rather than peaks, as a sandwich plate or bolt adapter will supply, as the oil in this location will pick up heat transfer from the combustion chamber due to the small oil galleries.

I will go with a Lee supplied Blitz sandwich plate that he will get tapped for the sensors that I have.

thanks LeeP.
