Scott
What does the probe look like? My car is low and there are speedbumps around, does it hang out the bottom of the sump?

Good point! i actually welded a boss into the side of my sump to avoid any problem with that, but others seem to be OK with sump plug adapters. Wez
Good question, the option 1 facelift bolt sounds like a good bet, not sure about the sump plug though. Is the sump the best place to measure oil temp?

Is the sump the best place to measure oil temp? I always thought so, as its a more stable temp and so reflects a realistic average, rather than peaks, as a sandwich plate or bolt adapter will supply, as the oil in this location will pick up heat transfer from the combustion chamber due to the small oil galleries.
