hp006
I am swopping my hubs over to fit hubs with the abs sensor to use with rltc. A friend has said the rear hubs wont work on there own. He said the driveshaft needs to be changed as well as this would have the other sensor on. Is this correct??
dude
The drive shaft carries the toothed ring the abs sensor reads from.
hp006
Take it that means I need to change the driveshaft then? What about the front hubs?
Swampy442
The sensor ring is contained inside the hub on the front, on the inboard side of the bearing
hp006
Would the driveshaft on a na without abs be different then to a tt? Surely that Wud cost Toyota to much to do that. How do I find if I have this ring?

snuf
I have had to replace one rear abs sensor and it cost £138 from toyota dealer. The hub assembley cost £120 from jap parts(collecting it myself). The abs and traction off light now comes on at 60 mph,This due to the abs toothed ring having been cracked (forgot to mention the car had been in an accident) 1996 automatic uk spec turbo.
