Considering a new project MR2

Impending sale of my Supra has my thoughts turning to what next.

Mate did this to his MR2 (with me in it incidently)

Engine running fine, not much damage other than bodywork. Certainly written off tho. Looked at a cheap as chips T-Bar n/a MR2 auto earlier, thinking of doing an engine swap.

My question is: How easy is the swap?

1. Walk in the park

2. Be handy if you have a car lift (I don't)

3. Doable

4. Brain surgery

Have done some looking on the next, opinion varies. What do we think on a proper car site?

My brother in law is getting rid of my old baby for 1k for anyone that is interested. Doesn't need a lot of work. I think there are pics in my garage although the front splitter is gone and the wheels are a little worse for wear. Can get details for anyone interested.

1992 Rev2 MR2 Tubby.

Engine is untouched, looks worse than it is. Looking at €2 - 2.5k for a nice T-bar turbo here, reckon I'd decent change from that for goodies. 3.5 conversion out, tax/insurance would be a nightmare, not to mention cost. Only looking at it as a runabout.

Fear I'm counting chickens with the Supra still outside tho...
