Bit of Toyota nostalgia, or a fun with 2JZ-GTE in it!!

A friend used to have one, all I can remeber is it was VERY quiet and had some sort of A/C or rear heater on the back parcel shelf, and all sorts of gizmos. The remarkable thing, and the worrying thing had British car makers taken note, was all the gizmos worked and the car was totally watertight and reliable. I thought he was mad, all he said was this is how a car SHOULD be made and marketed, herein lies the future :) . I didn't realize what a sage he was at the time.

So that answers the question re side curtains edge asked then :) If you have a daughter someone turning up to take her out in that thing has to be one of your worst nightmares ;)

Dont forget the vibrating massage rear seats ;)

Thats quite nice Gareth, so many of these retro Jap cars Ive nevereven heard of, let alone seen.

There are lots of old Crowns in Oz. I think Toyota actually assembled them in Australia. Knowing what the Aussies are like, I'm sure there are a few with engine transplants. :)

If you want retro and a bit of shove, one of the late-eighties Crowns (UZS131) was fitted with the 1UZ-FE. Note the cool frameless doors on this one
