evinX
Jesus, one of my worst fears, even seeing that happen would mess me up. How do you walk away from something like that, i mean you must hit rock bottom after facing death in the face...

pedrosixfour
I wander if it's the pilots who walked away. It hit the ground nose first, it was definitely 2 of the passangers who survived.
evinX
I wander if it's the pilots who walked away. Are you having a laugh? the front of that thing has disintigrated...more likely passengers at the rear.
BazzaAlpine
Would have been one hell of a ride before the end though. Do hope that those that died didn't suffer though. RIP

BazzaAlpine
Not a great choice of words Bazza. I imagine the final minutes were terrifying. I was speaking for my personal feelings. I was eating peanut butter and Jam sandwiches while cars were being thrown about and people were throwing up all over the place on a hovercraft comming back from France. Errr.. not really the same as a plane nosediving into the ground in thick fog. Sad for those killed, but also for the survivors who have to live with the tragedy. supramkivcork
That airport is about 4 miles from my house. Very bad fog this morning and is normally worse up there. Terrible tragedy.
Dnk
RIP to those who lost their lives. We came back from Portugal and landed in thick fog at B'ham just after xmas, you could of heard a pin drop till we touched down and then there was cheering and clapping and people crying, quite scarey and something i could happily not go through again.
