Chris Wilson
So how did the journalists or whoever is alleged to have done this achieve their aims, technically speaking? Just curious, as it seems it isn't hard. Did they just hack into voice mail messages, or actual real time mobile phone conversations? Wez
I would hardly call it hacking as it didnt require any skill, all you need to know is the mobile number and pin.
Chris Wilson
So people left whatever the default PIN number is in the phone, or they tried a myriad combinations?
davej705
Alot of people don't change the pin from the original pin, like 1234 or 0000. EDIT. You beat me to it

Chris Wilson
So you can get your voice mail for your mobile from another phone? Never knew that, and my PIN is whatever the phone came with... Not that anything in there is worthy of the dailys interest
Charlotte
*rings Chris's mobile and dials 1234* - Chris, your missus says you forgot to put your pants in the wash again.
Swampy442
It was on Dispatches, C4, monday. What they do is have 2 phones, call the 'celeb' on phone one pretending to be say, Vodaphone, while chatting to the person, dial same number on the second phone, which will go straight to voicemail. Punch in 0000 or whatever, access messages.
