JustGav
I am glad to see Nokia is much like this forum..... Mr Elop is VERY similar to a few people on here trying to win friends Stephen Elop describes the company as standing on a "burning platform" surrounded by innovative competitors who are grabbing its market share. In particular, he said, the firm had been caught off guard by the success of Google's Android operating system and Apple's iPhone. Caught off guard in 2007 fine, but we are in 2011 and they STILL don't have an answer.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-12403466 There is also the talk of the move from Finland to the US, the switch to android or win7 (who knows, they don't seem to know).....AND all the MS people heading that way http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/02/07/nokia_elop_definnistration/
SteamAhead
Yes I read that today as well. Let's all be honest here, it's no real surprise is it. The last good phone they brought out was the N95 and that was how long ago now.... Most of the "smart phones" they have been bringing out over the last couple of years have had nothing but bl00dy software problems. Real shame as years ago Nokia had a lot going for them.
