well next I tackled the gear gaitor which turned out to be a right PITA to fit, as the new one was thicker leather and very tight to get in the whole.:D

I also refitted the hand brake gaitor and fixed it properly so the bottom didnt lift up above the seal.

Silly question here mate but is your front plate now illegal?

Yes it is illegal. You cannot change the letter size or the spacing of the letters, also there needs to be a minimum amount of space around the edge of the letters to the edge of the plate. To get a plate that you can legally trim down and to fit the J-spec plate holder you need 1 or 2 numbers, can't fit 3.

b;3153529']'Build myself custom ipod dock' is definitely on my list now :D - awesome

thanks bud you should definetly do it if you can live without the centre console, but i dont have a passenger air bag so plenty of storage still left

Silly question here mate but is your front plate now illegal? I'm asking because my front plate is exactly the same and I never thought about it when i bought the car!

Project is coming together well though mate, lovin' the Ipod dock idea :)

no its not illegal but its right on the legal limit for an import 100% legal, i would not have got it if it was illegal as i have alreday had to pay a fine on my last car for illegal plates. this was confirmed by jm-imports before I purchased the plate

and please to not tempt with that idea :p
