Sorry mate mis-read. Im tired mate, yea mild steel rusts. Even if you coat it, you will get a layer of oxygen stuck between whatever you coat it with and the metal.

Shame you can't just laquer it and then it's protected.

How much to chrome plate them? Maybe silver plate them, then laquer them? Might be able to sort something out for you.

Rob doesn't charge much at all just have never got round to sending a set off lol. Thanks for the offer though maybe i could look into it, but trying (and failing) to save money as the re paint is coming up quick, and i now need new tyres so may go for new wheels at the same time!

Your get there in the end mate. Just takes time that's all. I've not even driven mine for nearly 2 months!

Wish I'd stayed NA and gone chrome lol your's looks mint and at least it's moving lol

haha cheers like you say takes time, and im really loving the car again. Plus I have started seeing a new girl on the mainland so have been doing some mega mileage in comparison to normal, so that doesn't help the funds lol. But have been having alot of fun on motorways :p MPG not so good.

Waiting for parts mate. Waiting for exhaust to arrive so I can order downpipe and midpipe and any other bits I may need. Pretty sure that's it but want to be sure so need to have a glance when it arrives.

Agreed new colour for wheel dish on weekend, so waiting for my paint guy to get the wheels done. Haven't heard from him for a bit, I expect I'll just get a call one day saying they are done! Then front and rear bumper to be sprayed, then kinda back on the road!

All takes time and shed loads of cash. Bought a cage, 2 HID kits, facelift rears and loads of other new bits that Im looking forward to getting in, like new seats :)

Just doing my head in with a new exhaust on order I just want to hear it growl!!

So where you coming to mainland?

UPDATE!

Got my battery cover today and also the relay cover has been cut so I can use it on the NA igniter, AND....I have bought some new wheels!! So excited for there arrival. Stuck with 17" as they where a good deal and should keep the stock handling but look better than my shoddy BK's on the car now.

Car's due to the body shop around the 12th for paint, then wheels will go on and the diffuser will be fitted too!

Starting to go off the idea of selling the car, may keep the NA and stick the money towards a house now :p Decisions Decisions.

Great looking wheels, dude :)

What about NA-T? This car is too good to sell now! Then, if there's any money left, get a house :p

Cheers bud, I don't know dude I float in and out of the whole NA-t idea, but TBH I don't think it will ever happen to many £££.

Look like proper split rims too mate. Going to look sweet!

Cheers mate they are porper slits, not sure if they are 2 or 3 piece though, they are VOLK racing though I know that much.

Car is now going in the garage on Saturday to begin prep, keeping a bit quiet on what is exactly being done but the front will be painted. ;)

So today I got the new battery cover fitted, Cleaned under the bay with water only as I cant get silocone under there due to the paint work being done soon.

Test fitted thee igniter cover, needs a tweek but for pure guess work it fits nice.

Then gave the car a clean and, had a knock on the door, and the rad top has arrived already! so fitted that too :)
