Right its all fitted, taken for 2 short drives, bled the system twice, and left it on idle for 1 hour while I cleaned the inside and all good so far. Going to take it for a long drive in a bit and see if the problem is solved, although I wont know 100% till I get it on the mainland up a motorway,

I hope shes on the orad to recovery now.

After all the work today, took her out on a drive around the island and managed to get her up to 80 for a couple of miles and all was well. Engine temps have dropped allot, no pressure is building up in hoses and expansion tanks seems fine.

So hopefully its all sorted now :) but not building my hopes up just yet until I get it on the motorway.

I did however forget how much i enjoy driving it after such a long time. Was great to use the car again properly.

Well got my new bung and seal for the new rad today and got that fitted, have been running the car since I put the new rad in and all has been fine!

Big test day is Saturday evening got the ferry booked of this rock and she on the motorway, then I shall see whats going on. If its fixed the wallet is coming out and some new bits will be heading my way :p

Big thanks to Chris Wilson, as he sorted me the rad, seal and bung. All for about half the price Toyota wanted and only £10 more than the Ebay thing U bought first off.

Update time, Shes back baby!

Drove the car for the past two days hard on the motorway and she didnt miss a beat! So looks like she ready to fight the go fight again.

To celebrate we took it to a hampshire jap car show, and bumper into Kamasupra 'Dave' there too. Was good talking to you mate. Will stick some pictures up soon.

So working on my new list of bits to be done will stick it up a bit later.

good to hear its all sorted fella!

Thanks buddy.

This is looking real nice fella, huge change from when you first got the car. Fantastic work! So how much do you think you have spent so far? :p

Its been a journey for sure, im very proud of the car although its nothing compared to some of the cars on this forum. How much have I spent? I don't want to tot it up, but including the initial purchase price it has to be pushing 9-10k now :p Worth every penny.

Haha welcome back mate........ Now sort this carbon exhaust bumper guard out as I'm wanting one !!!!!

haha Im back on it mate, started making one today! Keep an eye out for the thread as i will be getting back on these soon.

Glad to hear it's sorted now

So are you continuing with this one now or going for a TT6

Still going for a TT6 mate, but now my hand isn't being forced I shall wait for November (My birthday) or beginning of next year, after the bad winter weather or if a bargain comes up I shall snap it up. But until then I will continue pumping pointless funds into the NA as I still love her ;)

Ok so the car is still running well! So trying to move it forward. Im now looking for a TT6 but untill i find the perfect one im continuing with the NA as the love has well and truly returned.

Since fixing the heating problem and giving it a good blast up the motorway she has been driving fantastic.

So I am treating her to new parts.

If anyone can help with the following please PM

-Sub and amp

-Mesh

-Ac unit

-Diffuser

-Bling

I have now got a few new bit on the way too, Im trying to get the interior looking mint so got a nice new handbrake on the way,

And I want to hit under the bonnet again, but going to do it in one hit so got a new polished fuse box cover, and a TT relay cover but I have a little plan for it, as obviously the NA does have the same realys. GOing to get a load of other bits and fit them all at once so it has a bit of a wow affect. :p
