Then Im in the same boat with the auto lol, would be worrying if she would hold the power, due to the fact as soon as I have a tt I will tune the engine. :eyebrows:

Yeah i know fella wish i could justify paying 3-4k to convert too 6 speed, But the car just doesnt get used enough and the auto is good enough for the type of use it gets, I would like too do some trackdays and cant see it being much fun in an auto. goodluck whichever way you choose too go with it.

Would certainly be worth doing a track day mate, im sure you could still have plenty of fun.

R154 will do the trick up to 600bhp. Definitely the route Im going once I'm standalone.

Definitely a option worth considering if a V160 is out of the question.

Bit of an update on the car-

The parts I was supposed to be getting to add to the bling, have gone a bit pair shaped, due to unforseen circumstances. So keron has kindly sorted me out some now, so back on track.

I have also got back to cracking on with my wheels, so centre caps are already to be stickered up, and clear coated. Then I can fit them along with the red nuts. Then need to get some smallish spacers quickly to tie me over until a nice set of meisters or equips show them selves, Although i MAY have sourced something else but keeping this hush hush until/if its finalised.

Also just ordered a different carbon to try on the exhaust surround.

Exhaust surround updates.

The final skim is complete and today had it primed up painted and laqured ready for wrap, although I didn't have to paint it, it was done as I had left over paint and it I have a nice surface to wrap on now. Very happy

Also as I have missed out on two set of works equips this week so I wet flatted my centre caps and layed my decals, now they are ready for clear coat. This will at least improve my current wheels, as a temporary measure.

Just ordered my engine oil from opie and decided to get some gear box oil too, thought the W58 deserved some love.

So got-

-6 litres of Mobil Super 3000 5W-40 Engine Oil.

-3 Litres of Motul Gear 300 75W-90 Racing gearbox fluid.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the weather holds off tomorrow as I have high hopes on getting some work done on the old car, along with some nice pictures.

Been a very busy guy yesterday.

Took all the wheels off and gave them a good clean and then fitted the new centre caps all round along with my red wheel nuts. Very please with the wheels now, just need to get some small spacers for the rears.

Also fitted the new handbrake surround along with my new Owners club stickers.

Then took my old knackered Ariel out and fitted the new one, so that's another job off the list.

Next I took the rear wing off the car just to see what it looked like, and TBH while the car is on stock suspension I didn't think it looked right so I bolted it back on.

And then I wrapped the Exhaust surround in the carbon wrap, And for my first ever attempt i am really happy although there is one small area with a couple of bits in it, but these will not be seen once fitted.

Got the dizzy cap back today along with the top piece of ducting and a cap im using for a little idea for some more under bonnet bling.

Had a major set back on the exhaust surround, went of to be clear coated and it just went black not sure why the hell that happened but it means I now have to carbon skim or wrap it and just put up with it not being shiny. Spent ages stripping it back and cleaning of the High temperature glue:( Gutted.

your be fine dude, if you spray 5 at a time you will save urself loads of time prepering the work area. people may pull out if the price increases with the cost of materials so you may not even have the 15. see how you get on with yours, cant wait to see it.

Its more the amount of work you have to do on the resin afterwards but like you say I will see how I get on. Want to get it done before the 7th so need to get cracking.

Fitted my last painted bit of the ducting. And I know the clip is on back to front but hopefully I should have some new ones going on soon. :innocent:

Also stuck my cap back onto my old wheel cap on the intention of using it for a cap, it fitted but didn't clear the bonnet so need to bore it out a bit.

Quick picture of my plastic for the surround.

And finally some nice tatsty lube. :sly:

Well was the big day today...MOT. Those three letters that can mean the difference between my HSBC account loving me or hating me, But she passed yet again, so she still has a clean record. :)

Did get an advisory on a bush so need to get one of those but other than that all good. Going to invest in some new front brake pads too as I did the rear only a few months back.
