ripped_fear
Ok today got a few jobs done on the car. Ordered some new rear anti squeal/rattle shims and rear calliper tesioner springs today from Toyota, Cost 40 odd quid! Was shocked for a few bits of metal, but as mine are still the original ones I thought it was best to treat her . Got my new bits through from Noz today also, package contained some nice metal Igniters covers, Radiator covers, Radiator surround cover, Radiator plinth, Vac gauge and some southwest modified cards (wasn’t expecting those cheers dude.) The royal mail did manage to bend one bit despite it being packed so well it took me about 30mins to get into it, but managed to straighten it out so no harm done. Also got the first 3 Dash panels back from the paint shop and this time the are perfect look stock. The colour is dead right and the finish is very nice. So the rest of them will be done soon. The dial surround is being started tomorrow so have put my spare black surround in for the moment, Car looks like a patch work quilt currently in the interior. L Fitted one of the Rad covers and one of the Igniters covers and test fitted the radiator surround cover. This is the only one I’m not sure off as I’m not sure if its too much. Test fitted the dash panels too, and started the god forsaken job of removing the sticky eBay carbon fibre trim kit. All was going well until I did the passenger side door trim piece and it has bee stuck on with what looks like super glue so going to get a new one of those asap ready for when the dash goes in permanently as it didn’t clean up good enough. Also haven’t fitted the Radiator plinth yet as I’m going to get it machine polished as the finish is more of a brushed metal look. Any way here is the pics and sorry for all the writing If you read it all give yourself a pat on the back- Think that’s all for today, more work to do tomorrow, and the car is back to the mechanics then, to give the brakes a good check on the ramps etc. Edited February 28, 2012 by ripped_fear (see edit history)

Hope the gauge is ok, give me a shout if you have any issues wiring it up. I also have a narrow band fuel gauge for lean/rich if you want another NA gauge. Keep photos posted when you get the radiator plate on. Sorry the postman was a shit at carrying it. ALSO did you find the cards behind the address? Cheers dude, the bar was at the garage having a good machine polish before I fit it. Keeping the stock leads as from what I have heard they are the best. But I am thinking of painting the dizzy cap gloss black too And maybe cover the stock leads in a colour wire. Not sure yet got other jobs to do first. Noz
Stock leads do the job, getting thicker wire won't do it any harm, and you can get funky colours though its not a cheap mod for what you get, and no point if it runs sweet already. I considered painting the dizzy, instead I'm choosing to try and run without it

Noz
The hardest part would be running it with stock ECU, you'd require a piggy back for sure. If you ever want to go that way I'll keep you posted on how I get on.
