Pitbull in there?

Looks like our small mutt, not sure what he is, but definitely has bits of staf and pitbull in him, thank goodness only in looks and not in temperament. (I'm not a fan of either breed, but he is a lovely and loyal dog)

Thought that too - he was running round the road outside my house, almost got hit by 2 cars and a lorry. He ran upto me on my drive when I got out the car before charging in front of a van :( Ended up stickin him in the house to keep him out the road but thought "oh bugger" when i realised he might be more. Was a lovely friendly dog though, wasn't easy getting him in the car to take to the animal welfare centre

Looks like a staffy cross english bull terrier.

Are they classed as dangerous? Just hoping the poor fella won't be destroyed based on appearance

Staffys have such a bad rep due to how they look, they are often incorrectly identified as other breeds, cracking dogs and at one time favoured as a real family pet that are great with kids, such a shame they have been dragged down :(

Here is ours :)

Looks very similar to the one i picked up off the road today. I know what you mean about their rep, it's a shame - this fella was unbelievably friendly and was actually very obedient, except in the car! Would have loved to have kept him if i could :(

Agreed. Some friends of mine have two, and they are just lovely dogs. All affection and no barking. It's a real shame they are associated with chavs, as they make great pets. Stubborn though, so need lots of initial training. :)

Beautiful dogs...we've been working with several dog shelters over the last few weeks looking for a rottie cross, the amount of staffs and staff crosses out there are heartbreaking, seems to be the most common dog in shelter.

We ended up with a 12 month rottie boy, not sure what he's crossed with but he's twice the weight of our GSD already and much bigger than pure rotties so possibly mastiff. The shelter thought GSD but he's too big. A total gentle giant! I'll find some pics later for the pets thread.

Im seriously considering getting a Staffy as a 2nd dog once my nutty black lab gets to about 2 years old.
