Rot boxes, and unreliable. BMW 840??

Also rot boxes, unreliable and with a good serving of electrical gremlins. All slower than the XK8 too (except the CSI, but they're very expensive - though that would struggle against a much cheaper XKR)

They are very nice looking cars though, the interior is still a nice place to be :)

What year XK are you going for mate ??????

if your going for the early 4.0l / 4.2 they do rust under the floor where your feet go. Great cars IMO. Just remeber if your going for a XKR and brembo brakes

Pads £250 + vat

Discs £400 + vat

Thats just for the front

you need to check what spec your getting before you start costing things up

Those shocks you said for £100 , thats if there not adaptive susp, if they are the double the price mate

Oh these are Jag prices by the way

I have never seen a rusty one, and I looked at quite a few when the wife fancied one a year or so back. The V12's were frighteningly complex with two ECU's, and absolute gas guzzlers, but the V8's seemed OK and most seemed to have all their gizmos working.

All 3 I've worked on have been rusty, one had serious rot. Another I looked around at an auction had a fair bit of rot (was still tempted though, had a full years mot and went for £500!)

A work mates 840 kept having serious electrical faults, got rid after 3 months or so. I still love them though, they have serious presence for a BMW
