Bailey.
I bought a set of shocks for my supra and fitted them up, they are hks hypermax 2's and payed £475 delivered, tried adjusting the damping settings today and they dont adjust, when you put in the allen key, it clicks, and stops at each end, but does not actually adjust the damping at all, so today i sent the seller i got them from a message just saying, i have fitted the shocks, tried adjusting them and basically nothing is changing, if i returned them would he give me a full refund? well i get this messgae back a few moments ago. seller- A specialist garage that removed the shocks from my car checked them for me after removal. They told me that gas pressure and adjustability where all equal and in fully working order, before i sold then on eBay. There was nothing wrong with them when they left me. I suggest you or whoever fitted them have damaged them in doing so. If you send them back to me, I shall take them back to the garage for re-inspection. If it is found that the fitter is at fault for damaging them, you’ll have to collect them and pay the inspection cost. Regards, Mike so i have just replied explaining that myself and the garage who are doing my single build fitted them, the only ways (as chris wilson stated in a thread) you can knacker them is if you over turn the adjuster, which did not happen in the situation thats for sure, so where do i go from here? DodgyRog
If you payed by PayPal, start a dispute saying you received the goods not fit for purpose. I have been on the end of one of these disputes and even though I could prove and did, that the item wasn't damaged when I sent it, PayPal sided on the Buyers side and refunded without my consent....I no longer sell on Ebay and after today, will very rarely buy either

barneybrendan
open a dispute stating they are not as described and you will get refunded.there is a time scale but not sure how long it is after you recieve the item.If they refuse and paypal deem it that they should then paypal refund you and take it from them. Bailey.
Ive just got this back in reply You have to put yourself in my shoes. I had the shocks removed and checked professionally. While on the car i had no issues with them. I sell them for a bargain price beliving honestly that there was nothing wrong with them. Then I’m told one month after selling them “they are knackered”. I have to take them back the garage that removed them in the first place and have them opened up and checked again. There are plenty of way of ruining shocks, turning the adjustment knob until it stops or forcing the adjustment knob will damage the damper internals. What would you do if you where me? Send em back and i’ll do my best to get the to bottom of it all. I dont have another set of shocks, so i simply cant send them back for this inspection he talks of, from the sounds of his first email i dont think i would see the money back whatever the inspection results were. because they cannot of been inspected properly in the first place.
