Well I am after sideskirts for my Supra as my Bomex copies need spraying anyway after recent events:rolleyes:

So there were some OEM originals on Ebay last weekend so I bit the bullet and hit BuyItNow, even though they were over 200 miles away and were collection only.

Well I sent a few mesages to the sellar and agreed a price for his Trail rear and Facelift headlights, indicators/sidelights with all wiring bulbs etc and planned on taking my tools with me to try and grab a few bargain bits like doorcards etc if they are in good nic

I made the arrangements to drive up and collect them today. So I get up early today and get everything out of the wifes Corolla, including unbolting the front passenger seat, just to make sure I have room for everything. I make a flask of coffee, as I am going to be on the road for about 8 hours and set off, looking foward to getting the bits I need and a few extra's I have been hoping to land to re style my car totally and give it a more subtle look.

Well after an hour driving, I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket (stereo blasting so can't hear it:innocent:)

So I pull over at the next exit:innocent: to read a text from the seller apologising, but he has just sold the whole car to a friend, so I can't have any of the parts I was already on the way to get, to say I am peed off is a massive understatement, money is really tight at the moment and I had really over stretched to get these bits and even worse have wasted £40 of fuel and have absolutely nothing to show for it.

This is actually the second time this has happened to me this year (2011), last time I drove all the way down to Callington to collect some Recaro's with Subframes, only to get there and the frames weren't from a Supra at all.

Do people think I have money to throw away, it's bad enough that fuel is so expensive, but to be just wasting it for nothing is really annoying

I really am fed up with Ebay right now, that's 3 different Ebayer's this year (2011) that have caused me problems it ridiculous

To be honest life isn't great at the moment and to be stitched up again is really not helping me at the moment

Yeah Jen said that, he didn't even have the decency to phone just sent a text, he didn't pick it up for a while when I phoned him to tell him what I thought, I let it ring for about a minute before he answered. It's a real shame I would of had the Trd front, OEM sides and Trial rear, would of been spot on I think. The problem is Trial rears seem to be impossible to get anymore, well ones that fit anyway

:( Sorry to read that mate. Collection only is a laugh now, far cheaper to post a lot of the stuff we need.

If you need a hand when you're up our way bud just drop us a line. Nowhere near the 4th March though. Big day. :D

Thanks Andy and congrats, about time you did the right thing:thumbs:

I will still buy from Ebay, we don't have a lot of choice, just some people take the mickey and the member is the link on the first post and now here as well http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/member....728-spider2123

hmm is the car that was sold as a "whole" now being spit on here ?? :S

No it's not the same car, but it was not sold as a whole car in the end, he tried to sell me the parts again a week later and then pulled out of that as well with no explanation
