Razak
I dont have any pictures due to my phone being useless now its dark, but i have a very small rust spot on the rear of the car, on a part surrounding the tail lights...looks like the paint has been scratched off...maybe though removal of tail lights. Whatever caused it doesn't really matter though, but what is the best way to deal with such a small spot, barely a millimetre spot but i know it needs to be sorted sooner rather then later. Razak
Any advice on how to best deal with it?
Rob Dublin
If it's only a small spot I'd think a paint chip kit and very small brush would do the job. Build up the layers slowly then t-cut back. Won't be a perfect repair, for that you'd need to respray the area. Unless it's not lifting the paint being so small I doubt you'd need to chemially treat the rust. I could be wrong.
Razak
Sounds like a good enough idea, im only looking to stop it spreading or getting worse. Its in a hidden area anyhow so it doesn't have to look good
Dnk
You need to remove the rust totally before you use any touch up or it will spread under the paint, a small dot on the surface could be a bigger area once the paint is removed, pics would really help.
